How do I proceed as a corresponding author?

When submitting a manuscript to a RSC journal you need to state your affiliation with Stockholm University and use your SU email address. On acceptance of the article, RSC will identify you as an SU affiliated author and you will be informed that the article processing charge is covered by the library’s agreement. The article will be immediately open access when published.

About the agreement

The agreement includes RSC’ 40 hybrid journals (subscription-based journals where articles can be available open access through a publication fee). Full open access journals RSC Advances and Chemical Science are not included.

List of journals included:
RSC Read & Publish titles (pdf) (15 Kb)

The agreement is a national so-called “Read & Publish” agreement. This means that the article processing charges are already prepaid, since the agreement includes both the costs of the library's subscriptions as well as the costs of open access publishing. The agreement was negotiated by The National Library of Sweden and in addition to Stockholm University, 12 other Swedish research institutes have joined.

Vouchers for 2017 articles

The previous RSC agreement with free “Gold for Gold vouchers” for publishing open access articles has terminated, but until 31 March you can still get a voucher for articles accepted during 2017. Please contact openaccess@su.se if you need a voucher to convert a published article to open access.
