Plan S is supported by an international consortium of research funders in Europe, including the European Research Council, ERC. In Sweden, research funders Formas, Forte and Riksbankens Jubileumsfond support the initiative.

A few weeks ago, a guide was presented on how to implement the principles for Plan S, which describes, among other things, three different options to reach open access for publicly funded scientific publications. The guide is open for public feedback from researchers and others affected by Plan S until February 1 2019. You will find the form and more information here.

Stockholm University wants to have an open dialogue on Plan S and what it implies to researchers affiliated to the university and will therefore hold an open seminar regarding Plan S 28th of Januari. Participants in the seminar include, among others, President Astrid Söderbergh Widding, Library Director Wilhelm Widmark, as well as representatives from research funders and others. Read more about the seminar here.
