Open Science describes the aim to make scientific research accessible and transparent (including open access to scientific results and open research data), for researchers and for society as a whole, and it is something that Stockholm University is actively working to promote.
The webinar addresses researchers as well as other university employees who work with issues related to Open Science. Among the speakers are Astrid Söderbergh Widding, President of Stockholm University and Chair of SUHF, Karin Grönvall, National Librarian at the National Library of Sweden and Sven Stafström, Head of Swedish Research Council. Among other things, they will talk respectively about the missions they received from the Swedish Government to pursue the issue of Open Science.
The webinar concludes with some examples of services related to Open Science for researchers that Stockholm University offers and the format of the event offers both on-the-spot interactions and follow-up opportunities afterwards.
The webinar is organized with the support of UCL's (University College London) Global Engagement Office and UCL's Office for Open Science, with technical support from Scientific Knowledge Services, and will be held in English.
