Alan Prout is Professor Emeritus at the University of Leeds and Visiting Professor at the University of Keele. He is author or co-author of numerous publications about contemporary childhood, including Constructing and Reconstructing Childhood (1997), Theorizing Childhood (1998) and The Future of Childhood (2005).
