During the first International Café for the spring semester 2017 you will meet Åsa Fagerlund who works as a dance developer. One of her tasks is to promote access for children and young people to many forms of creative arts and forms of expression.

Åsa will discuss how teachers can work with dance and other forms of aesthetical learning in preschools and schools and how to facilitate discussions and reflection about dance.

During the International Café you will also see short films from different dance performances directed toward young people and discuss how to facilitate discussions among children and youth regarding these performances.

Since the target groups for the International Cafés are exchange students within teacher education/educational sciences as well as local teacher students at Stockholm University there will also be time to share experiences regarding how to work with dance and aesthetical forms of learning in different countries and school systems.
